Short bio

I am a PhD student in Paris-Sud University since October 2012 under the supervision of Pierre Zweigenbaum of LIMSI-CNRS (group ILES) and Claire Nédellec of INRA-MIG (group Bibliome).

Before that I worked for about a year and a half as an RnD engineer on Information Extraction for wheat gene markers (FSOV Project) and for Arabidopsis Thaliana (Quaero Project) under the supervision of Claire Nédellec. I got my Master's Degree (MPRI) from Paris-Diderot University in 2010 and my Bachelor's (Greek Ptychion) from Athens University of Economics and Business in 2009. 

My PhD project aims to use scientific article (text) mining in order to help with the reconstruction of the seed development regulatory network of a model organism, A. Thaliana. The current title is: "Information extraction from scientific articles for the reconstruction of the biological regulatory network during the seed development phase of Arabidopsis Thaliana". It is co-funded by Quaero and IDEX Paris-Saclay. I am collaborating with two A. Thaliana experts from INRA Versailles: Loïc Lépiniec and Bertrand Dubreucq
